Offer Description

The aim will be to create and exploit artificial intelligence code to predict blood flow patterns in different real vascular networks, first in two dimensions, then in three. An application to real (medical) images will be undertaken.

- Develop a classical and possibly quantum artificial intelligence (AI) code. This code will be assisted by a lattice-boltzmann type code (existing within liphy) which will be used to train the AI code. - Linking the simulation with laboratory experiments in order to classify possible blood embolisms. -Write regular reports and articles in international journals.

The work will be carried out at LIPHY, a CNRS joint research unit (UMR5588) located on the Saint Martin d'Hères university campus. Liphy develops research at the interfaces between physics, biology and medical sciences. The research will be carried out in interaction with experiments on blood circulation developed at liphy and in interaction with the Grenoble University Hospital (with which a project on the blood circulation of diabetic patients is underway). The candidate will also interact with other members of liphy who are working on the direct simulation of blood circulation.
