Policy Assistant

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Assistant to join the HR Policy team. Reporting to the Head of HR Policy, you will support the delivery of university-wide HR policies and strategic projects.

In this role, you will coordinate and oversee the administration of a diverse set of projects, working closely with Policy Leads to prepare project outlines and plans, monitor and report on project milestones, risks and dependencies, and maintain project and policy webpages. You will support university-wide consultation exercises and collate and analyse results. You will organise project meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up on actions. You will prepare project updates and communications and liaise with key stakeholders and committees across the University.

About You: To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent administration, planning and organisational skills;

  • An ability to analyse and present data using Excel;

  • A good standard of written (and spoken) English;

  • Experience in an administrative, project or HR generalist role with an interest in a future career in project management.
