Platform & Service Owner (Integration & Core IT)

This role is available to current employees within IT Services at the University of Leeds only.

Salary: Grade 8 (£45,585 – £54,395 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The Integration and Core IT Platform & Service is responsible for integrations between a number of systems used across the University. It is also responsible for the Service Management system used in IT, and a number of areas of other functionality including the web design system used by Product Engineering.

The Platform and Service Owner will be accountable for the end-to-end management of one or more IT platforms & services within the organization. This role ensures that IT services support business processes effectively and evolves these services to meet changing business needs. This individual will be the point of authority for platforms or services under their charge and will be responsible for its entire lifecycle, from strategy through design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement.

As part of the wider Leadership Team the post-holder will play a key role in developing delivery models, ways of working and upholding the standards of the IT Service Management frameworks through contribution of your substantial expertise in this field. You will take a leading role in the development of solutions for complex issues and problems relating to the platforms and services under your accountability.

You will be expected to proactively contribute to the Integration and Core IT Team in shaping and guiding service and improvement projects that will aid IT in delivering an effective, efficient, consistent and future proofed professional services. You will apply your expertise in this area to ensure the development of appropriate service design to aid the delivery of comprehensive business and IT solutions for which you will take ownership. You will have responsibility for end to end service delivery of Integration and Core IT Platforms & Service(s) at the University.
