Do you have a passion for data? The Workforce Development team has an exciting opportunity for a People Insights & Systems Advisor to work within the HR Management Information (HRMI) team. Working for us, you will provide data to support operational and strategic objectives at departmental and university level. In addition, you will provide data externally to support statutory returns.

About the role

You will analyse and provide insights from data to a variety of stakeholders, using people data from our HR system (iTrent), WAMS (Workload Allocation Management System), reporting tools (business objects) and other sources to deliver statutory reports, management information and present data analyses. You will also be responsible for managing specific projects, and ongoing process improvement will also form part of this role.

The role includes training and support of system users as well as supporting system updates of iTrent and WAMS.

You will have

  • excellent customer service
  • excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • excellent IT skills including strong excel proficiency
  • experience of manipulating and presenting large datasets
  • An ability to work proactively, flexibly and manage multiple competing deadlines is essential, as well as strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

    Further information

    Workforce Development is situated within the Human Resources department. As well as HRMI, the Workforce Development team covers Learning & Organisational Development, Academic Probation/Promotion and Reward.

    This is a part-time position, working 21.9 hours per week.

The University of Bath has a well-built infrastructure with all the essential facilities and amenities a student will require. The university gives equal focus on sports and offers one of the best sports facilities in the UK. The university-based athletes won six medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

    Almost one-fourth of the students enrolled are from outside the UK, so, the university offers a perfect internationally diverse experience. Airbus, World Bank, Nike, Ford, and Rolls Royce are some of the industry leaders, which collaborate with the university.
