The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas invites applications for a faculty physician with an interest in pediatric plastic and craniofacial reconstruction, including cleft lip and palate surgery, craniofacial surgery and the full spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery procedures, also including research, clinical patient care and education. The primary responsibility for the position will be participating in the care of patients at Children's Health Systems of Texas. Additional responsibilities include participation in didactic sessions, seminars and rounds with plastic surgery residents and medical students. Opportunities to develop clinical research expertise exist and will be supported. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

Applicants should have leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to make important contributions to the field of plastic surgery, as well as the flexibility to meet the needs of a large and dynamic department and a very busy pediatric and craniofacial practice in a rapidly growing metroplex. This position requires fellowship training in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery. Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery and be eligible for Texas medical licensure.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
