Description

Responsible for operational implementation and directing of the day-to-day activities of Parking and Transportation Customer Services and the Transportation Demand Management Program. Acts as department liaison with outside vendors providing parking and transportation services to the University. Provides leadership to attain the goals and objectives of the department which includes but is not limited to assisting in the planning, developing and implementing of departmental initiatives.

Assists the Director with planning, development and implementation of programs and services for Parking and Transportation.

Directs the daily operations and activities of assigned staff, including recruitment, selection, training, development and evaluation.

Researches and analyzes trends in customer service of higher education parking/transportation to establish benchmarks for performance at the University of Houston.

Monitors and supervises on-campus vendors/service providers, ensuring contractual compliance and vendor performance.

Develops and implements policies and procedures for best practices to ensure quality program services.

Represents the department at university-wide meetings, conferences trade shows, etc.

Evaluates feasibility of new initiatives, sets goals and develops implementation plans as necessary.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 5 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline� or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicant should have strong background in marketing, outreach and communication activities.

Applicant should also have strong writing skills, familiar with Blog postings and creations and writing feature articles.

Applicant will have experience in Qualtrics, Ocelot and other survey and communication tools.

Salary: 4,463.00 - 5,804.50
