Palantir Path, Internship

Life at Palantir

We know the path to a technical career looks different for everyone, and we believe in providing opportunities for people of all backgrounds to accelerate their personal and technical growth in preparation for a successful, impactful career. We launched Palantir Path to reach students who may not have had prior exposure to technical opportunities in an academic or industry setting, or who are earlier in their engineering journey, especially those from historically marginalized communities.

We understand that many Path interns are looking to join us for their first technical role, so we've crafted both our application and interview process to allow applications to represent their skills and abilities beyond what is visible on a resume.

As a Palantir Path intern, you'll be invested in from day one - and challenged accordingly with high-impact work! There's no sitting in a classroom all day or writing code that doesn't live beyond the summer. Instead, Path interns join a team of dedicated, motivated engineers supporting a specific product or Palantir customer in solving multi-faceted, open-ended problems. You will be paired with a mentor who will help you learn to build real-world software and to think critically about how problems can — and can't — be solved with technology. You'll also find our internal community is full of people who are excited to meet you, build your community, and further your development and self-discovery outside of your project work.

At the end of the summer, with real-world experience and concrete feedback under your belt, you'll be better equipped to make the most of your remaining studies and tackle future engineering challenges with confidence!

We're currently welcoming applications for Summer 2024 opportunities. We especially encourage students from communities that are historically underrepresented in STEM to apply. This includes (but is not limited to) individuals from ethnic/racial minority groups, women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Students who will graduate with a bachelor's degree in Summer 2025.

 A copy of your resume
Thoughtful responses to two application questions (up to 400 words per question):
Tell us about a difficult decision you have had to make. What made it hard? How did you arrive at your decision, and what was the outcome? How did it impact you and what did you learn from the experience?
Share with us an experience when you contributed to something that really motivated or inspired you. What drew you to the project, and what was your level of involvement? What were you solving for, and how did your contributions drive the outcome? You can choose to share a technical or non-technical experience related to a job, personal project, event, or anything else.

We are now accepting applications for 2024 Path Internship opportunities. The deadline to apply is 31 July 2023 at 9:00AM Pacific Time.

About the employer

In 2004, when we looked at the available technology, we saw products that were too rigid to handle novel problems, and custom systems that took too long to deploy and required too many services to maintain and improve.

We saw automated approaches that failed against adaptive adversaries, and all-or-nothing access controls that forced organizations to make unacceptable trade-offs between collaborating and securing sensitive data from misuse.

We saw a need for a different kind of technology, and we knew it would take a different kind of company to build it. That’s why we founded Palantir.
