Operations Manager


As a leader in General manufacturing, you will support the execution of business plans for the manufacturing operations. Responsible for providing support to manufacturing operations to help them achieve BPD plans and KPI objectives. This work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS (Global Manufacturing Systems) and standardized launch processes; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the ability to deal with complex problems and may supervise salaried employees involved in plant support operations in addition to the following:

  • Provides assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems
  • Coaches, trains, develops and evaluates employees
  • Assists in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations/projects
  • Collaborate with outside teams and functions
  • Administers divisional and Corporate policies
  • Meets cost, schedule and quality requirements
  • Maintain Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance and maintain safety culture
  • Establish recommendations to accomplish completion of projects
  • Work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision-making accompanied by a high level of independent discernment
  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of manufacturing objectives.
  • Additional Description


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years in manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a technical role in manufacturing facility
  • Able to develop relations and work closely with local union leadership
  • Familiar with UAW National Agreement
  • Understanding of Constraints Management
  • Understanding of Business Plan Deployment process
  • Lead all 3 shifts of an organization
  • Experience in a Machining Environment
  • Experience managing the logistics of multiple part numbers across multiple product lines
