HEW Level 6 ( Starting from $85,948) + 17% Superannuation and Hybrid Working Arrangements
Based at the City campus, however, there is the option to work from the Bundoora campus occasionally.
About the Position
The Officer, Awards Management (Finance) works as part of a small research support team providing expert and customer- focused post-award services to the RMIT research community.
The primary focus of the role is to support the financial administration of externally funded research grants and contracts, and to work collaboratively with the Revenue and Research Finance team to ensure effective and accurate financial management of research projects in Workday, the RMIT finance administration system.
The Officer also contributes to day-to-day post-award administration activities, including project establishment, variations, reporting and project close-out.
About You
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Demonstrated experience in research and/or finance administration, preferably in the higher education sector.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing, understanding and interpreting complex written documents such as research contracts or other funding agreements.
Highly developed customer relations and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to use judgement and provide advice.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks with tight timeframes.
Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, with experience using enterprise financial systems or similar.
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and cooperatively within a team setting.
Proven ability to contribute to continuous process improvement.
Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values and professional capability framework.
