Job Description

New Hire Success Specialist is responsible for New Hire Success at AeroVironment. The role is responsible for creating and implementing programs to ensure success of new employees.

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Day 1 Onboarding

  • Manage new hire experience of hire up to 90 days

  • Develop and reinforce onboarding program

  • Support Managers and P&C Business Partners to design and implement a 30-60-90 day plan

  • Manage new hire surveys

  • Partner with Hiring Managers to coordinate new hire activities, training plans, etc.

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience & training

  • 5+ years of experience, with minimum of 2 years direct experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced and complex organization

  • Experience in managing new hire onboarding and other employee related programs

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Experience with Workday HCM & Onboarding

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking systems (Workday preferred)

  • Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • Highly collaborative style, capable of working across multiple functional areas to represent the People & Culture team

  • Strong follow up skills, with attention to detail

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels

  • Ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to prioritize accordingly

  • Flexibility, strong work ethic, and a strong desire to get stuff done

  • Have an analytical mindset and have a track record of being a self- directed problem solver

  • Experience in a Technology, Engineering and/or Aerospace and Defense company is preferred

  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office or home office environment (Constant)

  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

  • The salary range for this role is:

    $82,534 - $123,802
