The team of MSc / LLM Academic Support Tutors will support our postgraduate students to navigate their course requirements by providing pastoral and academic guidance. Coaches will work predominantly from within the Aston Global Advantage, providing regular contact for students to support the development of employability skills and team-working competences. They will support the teaching team to deliver careers and transferable skills sessions and will act as personal tutors for students, to enrich the overall student experience at Aston. Coaches with level 7 academic qualifications will also supervise Master's dissertation students and assist with assessment of coursework.
You will be a true people-centric professional and have the ability to provide exceptional support to our international and UK students. You will work with the Aston Global Advantage teaching and careers support teams to deliver a variety of learning activities. Committed to excellent teaching and outstanding student support, you will also be able to add to our business and community engagement work. You will need either an undergraduate degree (for grade 7), a masters or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject discipline (for Grade 8), or a recognised coaching / counselling qualification, or you will have significant practical experience of supporting students through training, coaching and related activities.
