Mobile Design Lead

Description

This is a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

About the Role and GM:

  • Our customer is our compass. Their needs are the foundation of our design, and they are the reason we do what we do. The Mobile Design Lead will envision the future of our products and curate our customer experiences with a focus on thoughtful and intentional design. In this position, you will work hand in hand with design teams across the mobile landscape to create world-class experiences. This will require you to leverage your creative concepting skills to form the platform of what will be our next generation of mobile technology.
  • This position will not only require creative muscles, but also a strong ability to envision mobile experiences years into the future. You'll need a deep understanding of customers' needs and desires. You'll push the boundaries of our existing designs to create new and compelling experiences that make customers keep coming back to our products. You'll navigate complex technical challenges and business objectives to always keep the customer at the forefront. You'll create the 10,000-foot strategic view of our products and delve into the detailed workings of individual features.
  • Building connections, feeding the culture, and building trust with team members is the foundation of successful product design. Your success in this role will hinge on your ability to collaborate with other designers, researchers, program managers, developers, and engineers. To build strong relationships with your extended team, a working knowledge of software design and Agile methodology is preferred.
  • For this role you will need to be a storyteller, and able to communicate design in compelling ways that aligns with the connection to the user. Crafting the story of the experience in simple and fluent visuals will set clear and sustainable goals for your team. You are bringing to life a holistic picture of the future and creating the path to the end goal.
  • Mentorship and leadership skills will need to be a part of your toolbox as you will be responsible for inspiring and working with a team of designers. It will be expected that you will set purpose, remove roadblocks, and drive design for your team.

    Key Competencies (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of product design experience
  • Small team leadership experience
  • Lead & execute management priorities, work towards achieving expected results
  • Drive for continuous improvement
  • Learn the fundamentals of people leadership
  • Drive a customer-first attitude across adjacent teams
  • Be a customer advocate
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent documentation skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling capabilities
  • Thorough and demonstrated history of product launches and understanding of product design lifecycle
  • Agile Product Execution Experience Desired
  • Strategic and system level thinker
  • Education and Experience:

  • Industry Standard Design Tools (Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe)
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Creative Design, human computer interaction or similar

    Compensation : The expected base compensation for this role is: (80,981.88 – 129,360.60 USD Annual ). Actual base compensation within the identified
