Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Learning Success, The Math Learning Specialist (MLS) will provide comprehensive academic coaching to build understanding of mathematical concepts and support successful course completion. The MLS will support students' success through a wide range of evidence-based programming and interventions, including individual consultations, small-group workshops, credit-bearing courses, and online training. The MLS will stay current with research related to math learning strategies and metacognition to plan, develop, implement and assess evidence- based math skills (and quantitative reasoning) training and support. The MLS will collaborate with academic units, student support offices, and tutoring service providers. The MLS will collaborate with academic advising units and the math department to provide holistic support for students who are struggling academically.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in math education, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.

The salary range for this position is $56,000 – $70,000.
