Market Area Fleet Manager - Dallas


Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. This position requires an employee to cover territory visits to dealerships in a reoccurring frequency.

The selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility and relocate to within 50 miles of Dallas, TX. Relocation may be provided.

The Market Area Fleet Manager (MAFM) has a territorial responsibility and will cover the follow territories: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. To effectively grow GM's penetration in this market, it will require that the MAFM understand the products, wholesale & retail distribution strategies, programs, and incentives for both the ACDelco and GM Parts distribution channels. The MAFM will be required to cultivate and nurture relationships with a broad spectrum of fleet customers across all fleet segments. Additionally, they will need to engage members from a cross section of GM's regional staff to support and assist in this effort. The MAFM will also provide training and support to our ACDelco Warehouse Distributors and GM Dealers to increase their parts sales in the fleet OE and Aftermarket.


  • Increase sales of GM & ACDelco parts to fleet & commercial customers
  • Work with regional teams in both sales and service reviewing existing GM fleets
  • Work with regional teams in both sales and service developing a contact strategy prioritizing accounts
  • Work with regional teams in both sales and service making joint contacts at fleet accounts
  • Contact regional fleet accounts including rental, government, & commercial
  • Monitor current state and local government bids and work to submit and win new bids
  • Complete and maintain fleet profile reports on each contact
  • Calculate the parts opportunity & identify product lines where GM can displace existing suppliers
  • Develop and expand distribution with new fleet accounts
  • Establish, track and measure targeted dealers' fleet accounts
  • Evaluate fleet accounts parts needs and educate on various GM parts programs and processes to improve sales
  • Utilize ACDelco Key Fleet program
  • Appraise regional staff of current & new fleet account regarding market conditions, price, policies and distribution
  • Conduct meetings and training sessions with both retail and wholesale teams as required
  • Work with fleets and GM organizations to resolve any parts issues causing down vehicle or lost revenue
  • Qualifications:

  • Professional selling skills and ability to "Cold Call" potential new accounts
  • Ability to train groups or sales forces
  • Ability to assist customer in ordering products
  • Overnight travel required
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independent of daily supervision
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Knowledge of computer software, MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • College graduate preferred
  • Sales experience preferred

  • Mobility required
