Provides leadership in planning, organizing, staffing and managing the daily operational functions of imaging services. Manages, coordinates, evaluates and directs patient care services and all technical and administrative activities in alignment with UTRGV Health's mission, vision and values. Ensures compliance with performance improvement plan, ACR, TJC and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Description of Duties
General supervision from assigned supervisor.
Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Must hold a current registry from one of the following organizations: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). If holding a registration through ARRT or NMTCB, must also hold a Texas Medical Board license as a Medical Radiologic Technologist American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) preferred.
Five (5) years of clinical imaging experience. Three (3) years of imaging leadership experience.
Use of standard office/clinical imaging equipment.
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office/Clinic Environment; some travel and weekend work is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment.
Coaching, Financial Planning and Strategy, Decision Making, Process Improvement, Communication Processes, Training Management, Initiative, Legal Compliance, Managing Processes, Quality Management, Lean Management skills, Knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement techniques. Professional bedside manner.
