Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive maintenance supervision and support
to Proterra's Battery Maintenance Manager and other site leadership team
members. You will be responsible for providing a full range of maintenance
solutions to client groups at the site and be in an environment where you can
have a greater impact.
About the Role – You will:
Execute site maintenance plan
Prepare and monitor progress on maintenance schedules (i.e., daily,
weekly, etc.) and assign work to meet and ensure those schedules are
achieved.
Work with cross functional team to maximize operational efficiency of the
equipment
Hire, supervise, and train maintenance technicians
Monitor and manage the team's performance
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
Lead all equipment troubleshooting efforts
Assist with the development of the maintenance budget and work to ensure
compliance
Monitor inventory of necessary materials, equipment, spare parts, and
place replenishment orders
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be part of the Manufacturing team that supports
Proterra's Manufacturing and Engineering.
You will report to the Battery Maintenance Manager and collaborate
with other Manufacturing team members located at the facility.

Your Experience Includes:
Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
Experience as maintenance supervisor or similar supervisory role
Strong technical knowledge with the ability to support your direct team
members
Knowledge of health and safety practices, policies, and regulations
Understanding of budget and performance management
Strong planning and leadership abilities
Physical Demands:
May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
Environmental Demands:
Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
