Legal Counsel SMAD

Description

In this role you will provide timely, innovative, and commercially focused legal and strategic counsel to GM business units located in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East.

The role will advise Senior Leadership and Management teams on strategic, high level and significant matters and projects as well as day to day operations. You will be responsible for the appropriate identification, evaluation, consideration and balancing of risks and opportunities in decision-making. You will also drive the protection and advancement of company objectives in line with GM's legal, ethical, safety, policy and risk considerations.

This role has responsibility for coordinating legal counsel and external legal advisors to the businesses to ensure advice is provided in a timely and cost- effective manner.

This is a regional role where you will report to the Lead Counsel, GM International and be required to partner with multiple stakeholders across a variety of locations.
