The Strategy and Organisation Division of the School of Management, University of Bath, is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Assistant/Associate Professors) to join our vibrant and collegial academic community!
About you:We welcome applicants in any aspect of organisation studies, human resource management, or entrepreneurship/strategy/innovation. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with expertise in cross-national or comparative studies, or regional development. We seek people who are equally passionate about teaching and research, and who desire to influence policy and practice. You will play a full role in the thriving research culture of the Division and its three centres of excellence. We are keen to build upon our track record in attracting external research income, our demonstrable impacts on policy and practice, and our publications in leading journals. You should be interested in participating in a lively and friendly academic culture. You will contribute to our range of successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching high-achieving and motivated students. You will attract outstanding doctoral students.
About us:You will join a high-achieving but supportive team of colleagues who publish in a wide range of leading journals, including the Academy of Management journals others including Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, etc. Colleagues are active contributors to the academic community through editing journals, taking up leadership positions in professional bodies, organising workshops and conferences. Supporting and mentoring new and/or rising academics is a top priority of the Division.
The School of Management is ranked within the UK's top ten business schools, holds TEF Gold status for its teaching, and is actively working towards building on its award of the Athena Swan bronze status for its diversity strategy. We moved to a multi-million pound new building in early 2021.
The University of Bath is situated on a modern campus surrounded by attractive countryside and overlooking the city of Bath, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage City famous for its Georgian architecture and its annual literature and music festivals.
