Teaching flexibly across multidisciplinary subject and academic skills modules in a face-to-face context in the daytime and early evenings (working pattern to be discussed in interview).
Your focus as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in our Integrated Foundation Year will be to design engaging teaching materials, ensuring content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives, ensuring that marking and moderation is conducted with colleagues according to the quality assessment processes and promoting equity and diversity of experience for our students.
We are particularly looking for academic Lecturers who have taught on preparatory courses/programmes and with one or more of the following subjects: computing, criminology & law, business (inc accounting and economics), and sport & health sciences.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you are passionate about improving the chances of students achieving good degrees at university. The Integrated Foundation Year at UON exists to help students to navigate the challenges of university life and study, leaning how to learn independently, navigating university rules and regulations and conducting independent investigations into their degree subjects.
As a student-focused educator, you engage your Integrated Foundation year students, bringing their learning to life using active teaching and learning techniques. You will have an excellent understanding of the support needs of Integrated Foundation year students, offering effective pastoral and out-of- class academic guidance.
You will have excellent subject knowledge but will be adaptable/thriving when teaching across a range of multidisciplinary subject and academic skills modules.

The Faculty of Arts, Science & Technology is one of three in the University of Northampton with around 180 academic staff and 3000 students on campus. We are organised into 6 subject groups, and offer a broad portfolio of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels including degree apprenticeships.
The Integrated Foundation team are a highly organised multidisciplinary team working across over 70 different degree programmes, organised into four cognate groups of Arts, Business, Marketing, Management, Development Education and Law, and Science & Health. They are supportive and committed to your professional development.
