About the Role:
The School of Engineering and the Built Environment delivers successful undergraduate, post graduate and degree apprenticeship courses. We are seeking an experienced quantity surveying lecturer to teach quantity surveying across all levels. The successful applicant will teach quantity surveying as well as contribute to teaching across other engineering and built environment programmes. They will also contribute to the supervision of research students and the school's research strategy. We are particularly interested to hear from applicants with applied and practical experience using RICS New Rules of Measurement and those that can make a positive contribution to research in the area of sustainability.
You will have a relevant first degree and PhD or Professional Doctorate (or nearing completion) in a related discipline, and teaching experience in Higher Education and/or relevant professional practice. Excellent written and oral communication skills, IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of quantity and building surveying are essential for this role.
