About the Role:
Our Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences provides cutting-edge teaching, research and consultancy across a broad spectrum of practice-based and theoretical disciplines. We are committed to the mutual importance of teaching, research and innovation, and have shaped our curriculum to ensure that traditional disciplines retain a clear, academic identity that translates effectively into courses with professional relevance.
We are seeking a committed Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Policing to join our thriving Criminology and Policing course group, which recruits at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We seek an ambitious colleague who is enthusiastic about excellent teaching, research and innovation, and will make a full and collegiate contribution to our student experience. With a research profile commensurate with the stage of your career, you will make a substantial contribution to the thriving research profile of the group, including income generation and the supervision of research students.
With a PhD or Professional Doctorate, you will have proven experience in teaching at HE levels and/or relevant pratictioner experience. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have the ability to work co- operatively and as part of a team. You will be enthusiastic and have a flexible approach.
