The University now seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing/Nursing within the School of Applied Sciences.
The School of Applied Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of mental health nursing, counselling, biomedical sciences, psychology, forensic sciences, engineering, food science, and sport and exercise sciences. There has been significant growth in the School's research output in recent years.
The Main Purpose of the Role
You will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level as required; and will undertake research and / or knowledge exchange activities appropriate to the University's Strategic Plan. In addition to teaching, provide academic leadership including module and / or programme coordination as appropriate, and support / mentoring for colleagues.
Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Provide academic guidance and advice, based on a student's specific circumstances to:
Grow an in-depth understanding of own specialism, generating income as appropriate to the discipline and enabling the development of new knowledge and understanding, effectively sharing new knowledge internally and externally. The specialism may lie within a range of research and / or knowledge exchange areas consistent with the University's Strategy.
