Job Summary
The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer Title Series (tenure-ineligible) Lecturer. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 70-90% Teaching and Advising, and 0-20% Clinical Activity and 5% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of July 1, 2023 or after.
This position, based in Lexington, KY, will assist in the expansion and resource the Undergraduate BSN programs within the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students in the BSN coursework. This candidate will contribute to scholarly practice and in advancing nursing professionalism. Candidate will design, implement and evaluate the assigned didactic and clinical courses in the College's undergraduate program. They will plan and evaluate student clinical experiences, and guide BSN students. Additionally, the candidate will provide clinical services as an undergraduate clinical instructor as delineated. A Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in nursing or a related field and a minimum of two years' experience of professional nursing within the last five years required. Preparation in teaching and learning principles for health promotion and obstetrics, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse is required.

Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education preferred, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Successful teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students in areas of health promotion and obstetrics are preferred.
