In partnership with the Write on Sports (WoS) organization, the School of Education at Monmouth University is offering a two week summer camp dedicated to equipping 20+ middle school students with writing skills by tying together their passion of sports with composition. The program aims at encouraging young students within the community to exercise their passion for journalism in a fun and creative educational setting. The entire camp will be in person on the campus of Monmouth University from June 20-June 23 and June 26-June 29, 2023.
Write on Sports was founded in 2005 by Byron Yake, a former sports writer in Pittsburgh for the Associated Press (AP) and later Sports Editor and senior executive of the AP, based in New York.
