What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement strategies to establish and expand our refrigeration department, including procuring necessary equipment, materials, and resources
  • Oversee the construction of refrigerated truck bodies, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and qualify standards
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to provide input and insights for the design and improvement of refrigerated truck bodies
  • Work closely with the production manager to create production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the production team members involved in the construction of refrigerated truck bodies
  • Train and mentor team members, ensuring their skills are continuously developed and improved
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote growth and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments and to address any production issues or challenges
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment necessary for refrigerated truck body construction
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures within the refrigeration department
  • Requirements

    Basic Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a leadership roles within a refrigeration or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration truck body construction, refrigeration systems, and associated equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical and operational challenges
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead a production team
  • Bilingual proficiency (additional language) is a plus
  • Preferred Experience:

  • Technical degree or certification in relevant field
  • 8-10 years of experience in the design and fabrication of refrigerated truck bodies
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Previous experience working with production managers, engineers, and production team members
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with training and developing team members
