What you'll do:

Develop and implement strategies to establish and expand our refrigeration department, including procuring necessary equipment, materials, and resources

Oversee the construction of refrigerated truck bodies, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and qualify standards

Collaborate with the engineering department to provide input and insights for the design and improvement of refrigerated truck bodies

Work closely with the production manager to create production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of projects

Supervise and provide guidance to the production team members involved in the construction of refrigerated truck bodies

Train and mentor team members, ensuring their skills are continuously developed and improved

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote growth and efficiency

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments and to address any production issues or challenges

Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment necessary for refrigerated truck body construction

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures within the refrigeration department

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in a leadership roles within a refrigeration or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of refrigeration truck body construction, refrigeration systems, and associated equipment

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical and operational challenges

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents

Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead a production team

Bilingual proficiency (additional language) is a plus

Preferred Experience:

Technical degree or certification in relevant field

8-10 years of experience in the design and fabrication of refrigerated truck bodies

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations

Previous experience working with production managers, engineers, and production team members

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Experience with training and developing team members

Salary Description
