Perform routine to complex laboratory and technical functions in support of a fast-paced immunotherapy cancer research in a basic and clinically oriented research lab. Perform experiments involving in vivo mouse models of immunotherapy treatments. Responsible for routine laboratory tasks such as reagent preparation, cleaning, maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies. Assist the PI with regulatory documents for animal, recombinant DNA, and clinical work. The position requires following safety standards/procedures, ensuring safe disposal of biohazard waste, maintaining safety records, and oversee equipment/lab maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and one to three years' laboratory experience required. Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of safety standards/procedures and ability to perform safe disposal of biohazard waste and safety records and equipment/lab maintenance. Candidate must also have experience with the following technical skills: injecting and handling laboratory animals, measuring tumor growth with calipers, dissecting animals and processing tissues, tissue culture methods, processing human blood and tissues, molecular and immunological techniques such as PCR, cloning, DNA and protein purification, ELISA and western blotting.
