A&P Professor: This is an Adjunct position that instructs lecture and lab classes in Anatomy & Physiology I (BIOL2101/2301), Anatomy & Physiology II (BIOL 2102/2302).

The salary rate for this position is $650.00 per credit hour.

Responsibilities

75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester, courses may include microbiology, anatomy and physiology, general biology, and nutrition.

10% Works as a team member in the Biological and Physical Sciences Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.

10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.

5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher with 18 hours of graduate courses in biology from an accredited college or university.

Previous successful experience teaching in the area of biology at the university or community college level; however, professional experience may be held as equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.

Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.

Excellent computer and multi-media skills.

Preferred: Experience in tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
