Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor: Grayson College'sCenter for Workplace Learning seeks a motivated and dedicated instructor who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and the ability to motivate and educate students for a position as a CMA Instructor. Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for teaching students in a classroom environment, hands-on lab settings and offsite clinicals. Ensuring that students gain the knowledge and skills that are required for entry level employment. Instructors are also responsible for sound educational practices and academic development of each student. Instructors will also manage their classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience, provide support, tutoring and other assistance as needed. Our instructors are the model of professional behavior, language, and activities expected of our students.

The salary for this position is based on the Grayson College 2022-2023 Faculty Salary Scale, https: // www. grayson.edu/employment/files/faculty-salary- scale-22-233.pdf.

  • Responsibilities
  • 50% Prepares and presents lectures, discussions, and lab experiences using a variety of training aid, instructional devices, and learning technologies.
  • 25% Facilitates hands-on application as aligned with course curriculum.
  • 10% Prepares and provides feedback to students and clients.
  • 10% Conducts evaluations and assessments of student performance.
  • 5% Develops learning outcome measures.

    Qualifications
  • Must hold a current LVN or RN license
  • Experience working in the field as a Clinical Medical Assistant required
  • 5 years experience is preferred
  • Community College, Dual Credit and or Public School teaching experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED, and proof of completion of related vocational training program
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid computer software skills including Google Suite
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment.
  • This position requires three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
