IT Technician in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 523088) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a diploma, with at least 2-3 years' relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; excellent communication skills; knowledge of MS Windows and Office, MacOS and video conference software; experience in helpdesk and maintenance of computers and AV equipment. They should also be highly self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work both independently and in a team, as well as under pressure. Having knowledge and experience in Windows/Linux server, NAS, and Network Administration would be an advantage.

The appointee will provide audiovisual and IT technical services for various academic programmes/events/workshops; assist in setting up teaching venues, troubleshooting and maintenance of computing and AV facilities; provide technical assistance to Faculty members; and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She will be assigned to work at HKU Main Campus, the Faculty's Cyberport campus, Admiralty Town Centre, or the Faculty's facility located in Central, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
