IT Assistant in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 523761) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Diploma or above, preferably with at least 1 year's full-time work experience. They should have excellent communication skills; a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; the ability to multi-task and work well both independently and in a team, as well as under pressure; knowledge of MS Windows, and Office applications; and experience in helpdesk. Competency in troubleshooting and maintenance of computers and AV equipment would be an advantage. Fresh graduates will also be considered.

The appointee will provide audio-visual and IT technical services for various academic programmes, events, and workshops. He/She will also assist in venue setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of computing and AV facilities; provide technical assistance to staff members; and perform other duties as assigned. The appointee will be assigned to work at HKU Main campus, the Faculty's Cyberport campus, Central campus or Admiralty Town Centre campus, and may be required to work in the evenings, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. On-the-job training will be provided. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
