Offer Description

The goal of the project is to create new Galactic chemical evolution (GCE) models. These models are required for a detailed comparison of the results from stellar abundance data of neutron capture

elements, observed in the different Galactic components. We aim to develop a stochastic GCE model, needed for the interpretation of the galactic halo and low metallicity environments (dwarf galaxies, stellar streams). Moreover, we will create a 2D GCE models for the interpretation of the galactic disc, in which we will focus on both the r- and s-processes. The initial phase of model creation will be based on constraints from the already available data, while the improvement and fine-tuning phase will take place in the final part of the project when we have our homogenised observational database.
