Lamar University seeks Instructor to work in Beaumont, Texas to prepare lectures and teach engineering materials and processes and manufacturing laboratory courses to students, including the instruction of safe programing and operation of CNC and traditional/manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, tabletop robots, and other equipment and convey this safe operation to students. Instruct students on machine tool process planning and operation, safety and quality. Teach introduction to digital programming of machine tools and robots and basic principles underlying the behavior of engineering materials, methods, and manufacturing processes. Create, evaluate, and modify course materials, curricula, and methods of instruction as appropriate. Prepare course materials, including syllabi, class assignments, homework, examinations, and evaluate and modify curricula as necessary. Monitor and maintain record of student attendance, grades. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Twelve (12) months experience in teaching or in research.
