Summary of Position
The Fuel Handlers Course Instructor is a full-time, wage determination
position directly responsible to the Director, Military Skills Enhancement
Program whose overall duties and responsibilities are to teach update and
maintain the Fuel Handlers Course at Fort Hood Troop School and at other Army
installations. Conduct special courses or briefings as required by government
contract.
Minimum Required Education
Two years college from a US regionally accredited institution of higher
education.
Minimum Required Experience
Five years military service with a minimum of two years of experience in grade
of Senior NCO (E7 above), Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer with
experience in training management.
One year experience as an instructor within the past 10 years prior to
employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Windows 7, 10 and 13.
Must be proficient with Adobe Acrobat/Reader and Microsoft Office Suite,
specifically with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Certified or the ability to be certified in the preparation and shipment
of HAZMAT for Commercial or Surface Military Transportation (CFR 49
172.704).
Familiar with regulations and directives associated with Ammunition
Handling, and Hazardous Material Endorsement.
Must have experience working with hazardous material and an in depth
knowledge of movement operations, regulatory requirements and operational
management.
Must be able to pass a background investigation or National Agency Check
(NAC) in order to fulfill contractual obligations.
