Instructional Designer (Hybrid - Granville, OH) This role requires 2-3 days in the office per week in Granville, OH

We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality instructional materials that engage and educate our audience. This person will split their time between Instructional Design utilizing their Graphic Design skills to advise, analyze, and evaluate the best learning methods for our target audience.

The Instructional Designer will be an integral part of the People Talent Development department – delivering creative, innovative, and effective learning solutions across the entire organization. Utilizing and abiding by industry-leading techniques and standards, the Instructional Designer will research, design and develop training materials that support RevLocal employees in a way that is authentic to RevLocal culture. In addition, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering development programs to help employees at all levels to acquire new skills, improve performance, and advance their careers. The Instructional Designer will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and will provide guidance and support to managers and employees to help them achieve their full potential.

Applicant must be able to analyze, design, and develop courseware using instructional design principles and adult learning theory. He/She will be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive and measurable learning programs to support the business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a creative, collaborative and process-oriented problem-solver with a thirst for professional fulfillment, eye for design and passion for learner engagement. This individual with be highly adaptable, self-sufficient, detail-oriented and eager to learn the business technology landscape. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to detail, follow-up skills, reliability, sensitivity to deadlines and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team with minimal supervision is necessary. A full understanding and usage of Microsoft Products, instructional design or graphic communication and experience with Articulate Storyline, Adobe creative applications (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat) required. LMS experience, video editing and Adobe Premier experience a plus. Four-year degree in education, instructional design or related field preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver integrated and interactive assets across multiple mediums, including instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, e-learning and certification programs
  • Create a diverse range of instructional materials and content –including course outlines, participant guides, leader guides, storyboarding, presentations, custom graphics, and scripted video and e-learning content– that ensures knowledge transfer and retention
  • Drive end-user adoption by engaging and coaching necessary teams and departments, eliciting feedback on training needs and collaborating on resolutions
  • Work within the Talent Development team and assigned stakeholders to problem-solve training challenges and ensure proper execution & delivery of designed curriculum, including evaluation processes
  • Work within a cross-functional team to help establish learning KPIs, curriculum standards and achievement metrics
  • Evaluating Impact: Measuring the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvements
  • Help translate learning goals into actionable and executable strategies utilizing adult learning principles
  • Attain Impact-solution expertise, in order to support the development and evolution of targeted curriculum
  • Additionally, you'll:

    Provide Team and Company Guidance in:

  • Consulting: Acting as a consultant to internal stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance on talent development initiatives.
  • Learning Theory: Applying principles of adult learning, motivation, and assessment to design and deliver training programs
  • Project Management: Managing the design and delivery of talent development programs, including coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Learning Theory: Applying principles of adult learning, motivation, and assessment to design and deliver training programs.
  • Demonstrate Advanced Skills in:

  • Knowledge Management: Facilitating the sharing and transfer of knowledge within the organization.
  • Instructional Design: Developing and designing training materials and programs that are effective, engaging and aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Using advanced knowledge of ADDIE, needs assessments, development tools, knowledge of instructional modalities, and application of learning methods.
  • Evaluating Impact: Measuring the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders at all levels of the company. Balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders while acting fairly despite conflicting demands for the greater good of the company.
