Your Role and Responsibilities


Incident Manager, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Plan and coordinate all the activities required to perform, monitor, and report on the process. Remediate deviation of a process for its division/department. Communicate with the incident process owner point of contact for all major incidents. Ensure effective implementation of the process "Incident Management" and conduct the respective reporting procedure. Represent the first stage of escalation for incidents. Monitor the workload per Tier 1/Tier 2 analysts. Monitor the incidents to ensure that the Service Level Agreement are respected. Identify, initiate, schedule, and conduct incident reviews. Ensure the closure of all resolved and end-user confirmed incident records. Provide guidance to the incident process coordinators. Establish continuous process improvement cycles where the process performance, activities, roles and responsibilities, policies, procedures and supporting technologies reviewed and enhanced where applicable. Finetune the Qradar rule logic for better identification of threats by eliminating the false positives. Maintain and update the risk acceptance database and eliminate them from the monthly reports. Utilize: IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)/ Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), MDR/Threat Hunt. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Technical Service Manager or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing IDS/IPS, Firewalls, SIEM/SOAR, MDR/Threat Hunt. $133,346.88 to $230,200.00 per year. Full time. V117.
