Role Overview

At the heart of Fisker's visionary product lies a state-of-the-art powertrain, and you can play a central role in its delivery.

The immigration assistant will work closely and independently with the Immigration Specialist and legal team to process US, European work visa's globally. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a “can do” attitude, excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and adaptive person that contributes expertise to a fast-paced immigration team in an automotive EV start-up.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and assists in filing applications and petitions with appropriate government agencies
  • Assists in preparing letters and other documents on behalf of the employer/employee
  • Retrieve, prepare and review files for completion and accuracy before submission
  • Drafts support statements and organizes documentations for filling
  • Finalize documents after review by manager
  • Collaborate with manager and the legal team to create timeline for visa and other immigration filing deadlines such as by running reports
  • Update database(s) and utilize case preparation/management tools effectively and efficiently;
  • Provide information and assistance to employees regarding legal procedures without providing legal advice
  • Tracks filing deadlines
  • Coordinate with employees to gather required information
  • Photocopying, faxing, document scanning and document management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements:

  • Experience with US immigration law highly preferred; experience with UK, EU, India, or China immigration law a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to follow instructions and action independently;
  • Ability to learn and effectively implement new processes quickly;
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office, Scan/Copy;
  • General computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing, email, and forms software;
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work within strict timelines;
  • Ability to receive and analyze information;
  • Ability to proofread and edit one's own work product;
  • Expected Salary Range : $33,040.00-$92,040.00

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
