We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Student Support and Residential Life cluster. As part of this role, you will provide strategic direction in realising our commitment to a ‘whole University-approach' to wellbeing, enabling a culture which is inclusive and compassionate. A member of the Student and Academic Services Senior Leadership Team, you will bring vision and passion to creating an outstanding student experience.

The University of Westminster was founded in 1838 as the Royal Polytechnic Institute. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in Britain. The university received a Royal character and was named University of Westminster in 1992. The current Chancellor is Lady Frances Sorrell and Vice-chancellor Dr Peter Bonfield OBE. Its main campus is located in Regent Street in Central London. It has three other campuses located in Fitzrovia, Harrow and Marylebone. It is a member of various associations like the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Association of MBAs, EQUIS, EFMD, Universities UK and European University Association. The University of Westminster is divided into three colleges, twelve schools and 65 departments & research centres. The university has 180 UG courses, 231 PG courses and 99 professional & short courses, which include full-time, part-time & open/distance learning courses. The university received £22 million from grants, contracts and research grants.
Departments: There are three major streams with over 65 different departments. The major departments in the University of Westminster are:
Science: College of Design, School of Computer Science, Creative and Digital Industries, School of Architecture, Computer Science and Engineering.
Arts: Humanities, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Law School, Westminster School of Arts & Westminster School of Media and Communication.
Commerce: Applied Management, Management and Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Organisations, Economy & Society.
Some of the famous alumni of the university include Sir Thomas Bennett (architecture), Fougasse (editor) and John Ryan (animator), famous authors like Mary Jo Bang and David Gascoyne, businessmen like Sinclair Beecham, Julian Metcalfe and Robert Bellinger, famous entertainers like Charlie Brooker, Asif Kaoadia and Tej Lalvani. Some famous faculty members of the university include Sir George Cayley, father of aeronautical engineering, Charles Algernon Parsons, engineer and inventor of steam turbine and Tom Ang, BBC presenter. Chantal Mouffe (political theorist), Ezra Pound (prominent modernist figure in poetry) and Jean Seaton (professor of media history and historian of the BBC).
The university hostels have 1750 rooms with six halls of residence. The university also helps students to find private residences if they are unable to find a residence in hostels. The university's transport connects all residences to the university. There are various scholarships available for the students, although the University of Westminster does not provide these scholarships. Some of the major scholarships are Brittan Scholarship, Brian Large Bursary Fund, and Westheimer Health and Social Care Scholarship.
