You will be based in our HQ in Odense, Denmark and will report to our CFO.

In this position you will assume a critical role as a pivotal member of Universal Robot's CFO leadership team, overseeing all accounting and controlling activities and ensuring smooth execution of tasks and responsibilities.

Furthermore, you ensure that generally accepted accounting standards are applied across the department and that they are adhered to in preparing of all financial statements and reports, internal and external. You also ensure that the business complies with all financial policy and regulations.

Moreover, you will ensure that the accounting and controlling setup is well structured and that direct reports have clearly defined roles and accountabilities. You play a mentorship role to your direct reports, overseeing their training and professional development, making them ready for the succession of her/his position in the future.

The ideal candidate will also take on the role of the go-to person in place of the CFO. As such, you will assume a critical role in assisting him and being a potential successor in the longer perspective.

Your core responsibilities will be:

Leadership of the finance team, with a strong focus on employee engagement through leadership, coaching and development. Direct leadership of 4 finance team members, and indirect additional 6.

Actively participate in and contribute to finance optimizations of the business, but just as much of the finance processes and tools

Leading and developing the team in an efficient way ensuring an effective finance organization

Setting goals and objectives and ensuring selection, motivation, and development of skilled employees

Assuming the role as the relevant go-to-person in the absence of Universal Robots CFO

Proactively controlling with timely, concise, correct fact-based analysis, reporting, and forecasting, with a focus on understanding and improving the business

Utilize systems and controls in accordance with regulations and business demands, to support growth and optimize efficiency

Driving the continuous flow of reporting to stakeholders through established process in the team

Monitor budgets and forecasts compliance, and be a sparring partner the FP&A and the business in the budget/forecast creation.

Personally take on the role as business partner for our R&D organization, ensuring business cases for new developments, as well as tracking of resource spend vs strategy.

We would love if you can say YES to majority of the below experiences and/or qualities:

A proven track record within accounting and/or business controlling combining strong technical finance competencies with a strategic mindset and commercial savviness

Relevant industry experience

Experience with driving finance transformation

Ideally exposure to US accounting practices

Experience within complex matrix leadership vis-'a-vis a US HQ / ownership and being part of a global organization

General solid leadership competencies and experience with proven ability to develop team members and enhance team efficiency through leadership

English language proficiency (Danish/Scandinavian language proficiency a plus, but not required)
