This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter bonus. Apply today and if you are appointed, receive an additional £500 two month after starting and £500 on successfully passing your probation period (six months). Please note this bonus is pro rata for part time roles.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective operation, maintenance and provision of grounds in our city and main campuses and potentially to provide cover for our sports facilities which will include the preparation and maintenance of a range of surfaces and pitches, borders, grassed areas, woodlands, planting and new projects throughout the University.
Works will include grounds maintenance - mowing, watering, and fertilizing lawns, Planting, trimming, mulching and fertilizing flowers, shrubs and trees. Cleaning and painting benches, poles and signs. Keeping grounds free from snow and ice.
In addition the role will ensure that the provision of landscaping services is done in line with our environmental management plan, taking into account environmental and community impact of all works carried out. The role will report to the Landscaping manager within the Campus Services Facilities team.
Campus services is one of the largest departments at the University of Bath, providing Security, Accommodation, Hospitality, Cleaning & Porterage, Mail services, Landscaping and more.
