This position is in full-remote, within a time zone difference of a maximum of 2 hours with Chicago(US)/Atlanta(US) time.

Team

Party Up is a new mobile game studio that's expanding our team to support our hit game Block Jam. The founding team has over 100 million combined downloads and 5 top-10 hits.

The Party-Up's Studio is part of Voodoo's Live Gaming team made up of hybrid- casual, casual and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games. Being part of our Live games team is an opportunity to work with experts from the gaming industry on long lifetime games, played worldwide, to take on new entrepreneurial projects.

Voodoo is creating a small experimentation team with a big mission: find the next best way to entertain the world by taking our best hits to a new level.

Role

  • Develop innovative and player-centric live ops content, including events, challenges, and new gameplay features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Art, Programming, QA, Monetization) to ensure seamless implementation and alignment with the game's vision.
  • Analyze player data and feedback to iterate and improve the live ops offerings.
  • Maintain and balance the in-game economy related to live ops features.
  • Tune each feature for the perfect balance of fun and difficulty
  • Create design documents, diagrams, prototype specs, and wireframes to communicate designs.
  • Keep up with industry trends to ensure Block Jam remains competitive and innovative in the casual puzzle game market.
  • Contribute to a culture of creativity, collaboration, and passion for game-making.
  • Fully develop a feature from concept to a final design
  • Help set the future roadmap of the game

    • Profile

  • 4+ years of experience with mobile game design, preferably experience with puzzles and live ops
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely
  • Strong understanding of mobile game market dynamics and player psychology.
  • Understanding of mobile free to play economics
  • An experience on a hit casual mobile puzzle game is a big plus
