Position Information

Position Title FT Aide (Data Entry Specialist) - Adult Education

FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Department Adult Education Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Hourly Rate 11.48 Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 35 hours per week + 5 PD (not to exceed 40 total hrs.) , Other - May include Saturdays to attend staff meetings and required TWC Professional Development training. Summary of Position

To provide data entry support for Adult Education; must fulfill duties and responsibilities as provided by the Director of Adult Education. Incumbent will enter data, review data for accuracy and correct accordingly, provide technical assistance, provide instruction to others on proper input and updating of data, and overall maintenance and upkeep of the Texas Education Adults Management Systems (TEAMS) database and accompanying files.

Minimum Required Education

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency certificate (GED) required; Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

2 years administrative/clerical experience required; 1 year experience in education preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of administrative an clerical procedures such as managing files and documents, word processing, and other office procedures and terms.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Communication skills which include oral, written, analytical and technical skills to express information to others effectively.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage time by organizing, planning, prioritizing, and completing required work duties.
  • The ability to navigate and manipulate multiple software programs.
  • Strong data entry skills with the ability to input data, make required corrections, and create reports from the data.
  • Ability to analyze data and look for trends or errors.
  • Ability to set priorities; meet deadlines.
  • Operate office equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Adult Education.
