We at Volocopter are the pioneers of electric air taxis, i.e. aircraft that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring urban air mobility to life, by getting air taxis and drones off the ground in a way that complements current transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electric multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale VoloCity aircrafts (www. volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

As a Flight Control Laws Engineer you will develop and tune the control algorithms and model-based software that runs on a real urban air mobility solution. You will design and implement safety-critical models and develop the software that controls and stabilizes our aircraft.

You are a Flight Control Laws Engineer well versed in the Model-Based Design (MBD) processes (modeling, requirements tracing, code generation, validation, verification, and testing). In addition, you are experienced in software development along the V-model and are therefore familiar with standards such as RTCA/DO-178C and DO-331. Within a multi-disciplinary team, you support the development process of the Flight Control Laws of the VoloCity.
