Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Finance Assistant within the devolved team who will be working with the University's Finance Managers to produce accurate and timely management accounts, provide management information to budget holders and project managers, and complete returns for project funders. You will assist in the reporting to all external and internal customers when required, and in the preparation of Annual School Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the reconciliation of various accounts and the production of sales ledger invoices.
Skills and Experience needed
You will be an experienced finance administrator, be highly computer literate and enjoy working with numbers and using spreadsheets (Excel). You will be self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of personal organisation, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. The ability to maintain confidentiality when assisting with pay routines and other sensitive information is also essential to the role. Previous experience within higher education is desirable.
Qualifications Required
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C and above including English and Maths or equivalent, or proven experience is essential to the role. Being educated to degree level, or equivalent professional experience and AAT qualified is desirable.

Formerly recognized as Hatfield Technical College, University of Hertfordshire is a public university which was established in the year 1952. In addition, it has also produced many eminent sports personalities such as Ajaz Akhtar, who is a British cricketer and Noah Cato, who is a rugby union player.
