The primary responsibility of this position is to provide effective instruction in the subject area, helping to fulfill the College's goal of providing a quality education for all students attending CTC.

Minimum Required Education

Masters Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education; a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Speech or Communication Studies is required.

Minimum Required Experience

Five years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level in Speech is preferred; minimum of three years of experience with dual credit students is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires demonstrated knowledge in the subject matter being taught, and the ability to teach the subject matter effectively and communicate clearly with students.

Must have experience with an LMS (such as Blackboard), Microsoft Word, and Outlook.

Must have an ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, and dual credit students.

Must be willing to travel to an alternate campus as needed.

A successful background check is required for all CTC employment.

Pay scale begins at $47,136. Applicant will be expected to teach five courses each Fall and Spring semester with a minimum average of 24 students per class. This is for an on-campus position in Killeen, Texas.
