    The Monash Law Faculty (‘Monash Law') was established 60 years ago to be a different kind of law school, with a pioneering spirit, an enterprising and inclusive approach, strong professional and community connections, and a deep commitment to access to justice in all of its forms. Monash Law also has three outstanding research centres, the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law, the Australian Centre for Justice Innovation, and the Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies, together with Eleos Justice on capital punishment and also a number of emerging research groups with a focus on Feminist Legal Studies, Transnational Criminal Law, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Public Sector Law and Governance, Law Health and Wellbeing, and Digital Law.

    The Opportunities

    Monash Law is looking to appoint two outstanding legal academics, who share a passion for research, teaching, and engagement with us. While the areas of expertise required for teaching do not necessarily need to be the same as the areas of your research expertise, Monash Law seeks to recruit academics with established capacity to contribute to our core Australian Law curriculum programs. We particularly welcome applications from outstanding candidates in fields of law that relate to our teaching in the areas outlined below.

    Academic Levels include:

  • Level C - Senior Lecturer

  • Level D - Associate Professor

  • Areas of teaching include:

    Private Law and Public Law (including Contracts, Property Law, Intellectual Property, Trusts and Equity, Administrative Law, Workplace Law, Privacy Law and Litigation/Civil Procedure).
