We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage. In recognition of this the salary for this post has been increased to pay the higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 2 salary before living wage which is £20,619 per annum.

Based in Northampton, U.K., the University of Northampton is one of the leading public universities. In 1924, Northampton Technical College was established and with constant evolution, the University of Northampton was founded in 2005 after the amalgamation of a host of training colleges. In the same year, it gained research degree awarding powers as well as full university status. It is also amongst those few universities, which have been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), apart from being the foremost university in the country to be awarded the title of 'Changemaker Campus' in the year 2012. Equipped with contemporary facilities, the university opened a new £330 million campus in 2018, named Waterside.
The University of Northampton also offers conferencing and business facilities through different centers, namely The University of Northampton Innovation Centre, iCon Environmental Innovation Centre, Sunley Hotel, and Portfolio Innovation Centre. In addition, the university also offers accommodation facilities to the students. The university also takes pride in its Schools Engagement Team and Schools and Colleges Liaison Team, which regularly organize different activities to inspire and motivate youngsters. In April 2016, the university also joined hands with Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation and Northamptonshire County Council in order to launch a new venture namely 'First for Wellbeing'.
Located in the beautiful town of Northampton, which is well-known for historic sites and museums, teaching at the University of Northampton is taken care of by four faculties in total, namely Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology, Faculty of Health and Society, Faculty of Business and Law and Faculty of Education and Humanities. presently, the university has around 14,000 students. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in diverse streams, apart from organizing different tutorials and seminars for the comprehensive development of the students. In addition, on an annual basis, over 1000 international students from more than 100 different countries enroll themselves with the University of Northampton for pursuing diverse courses.
The undergraduate Joint Honours programs, as well as all undergraduate Business, Computing, and Engineering courses offer the possibility of a full year in a work placement. Many courses include volunteering opportunities, study trips, placements, internships, and exchanges as far afield as the USA, Sri Lanka, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Malawi, Nepal, Spain, France, Scandinavia, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Japan.
The university has a notable list of alumni, some of which are Andrew Collins (broadcaster and writer), Dallas Campbell (stage actor and television presenter), Jane Garvey (radio presenters), Daniel Middleton (writer and YouTuber), Felippe Moraes (independent curator, visual artist, and art researcher), James D.
