
Events Coordinator
The Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) seeks an organised and enthusiastic person to provide a central events and visits service to support the development of strategic partnerships.
The SPO supports the University of Cambridge's partnerships with businesses and universities around the world. We work with the University's Schools, Faculties and Departments to create, identify and share opportunities for strategic collaboration across all disciplines and countries. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, busy team and be part of a positive working environment. The team currently works in a hybrid way with one core office day each week.
The role is primarily to support the activity of the Public International Partnerships team and will be based in the Operations team. The role holder will organise a wide variety of events, including meetings, conferences, seminars and visits. The role holder will work closely with partnership managers to deliver high quality events to a specified brief, as well as liaising with colleagues from other areas of the University on complex events and visits. The role holder will help with the coordination of incoming and outgoing visits, working with the Vice Chancellor's Office , Pro Vice Chancellors and academic colleagues where relevant to institutional partnership work or key diplomatic engagement.
In addition, the role holder will develop systems and documentation to support successful events across the wider Strategic Partnerships Office, as well as creating communications and materials to support event delivery. The role holder will also create reporting on events and finances.
We are looking for someone who has experience of events management, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. The post holder will be required to work some evenings and weekends, for which TOIL will be given. Some travel may be required.
