Hybrid - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week.

The Role:

Industrial Engineering position responsible for Manufacturing Scorecard and Manufacturing Excellence Index development, workforce and productivity reporting, forecasting, and special studies for GMNA facilities. You will work in in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial engineering environment. You will engage with Plant Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Excellence Shop Directors, Continuous Improvement Teams, and Manufacturing Operations Finance Teams and global counterparts. You will be an integral contributor to develop headcount and hours during the annual budget and long-term planning process.

Involves a considerable amount of initiative and an elevated level of independent judgment. Responsibilities include the following major elements:

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Support and develop GMNA long term manpower and HPU forecasts
  • Support developing annual manpower and HPU budgets
  • Lead for manufacturing excellence index across GMNA
  • Conduct special studies involving HPU, Manpower, and Productivity to a variety of customers
  • Assist plant IEs and CI teams in analyzing headcount impacts for operational changes
  • Conduct plant manpower and/or productivity related surveys
  • Coordinate the monthly reporting of headcount and associated drivers
  • Facilitate the internal sharing of best practices related to productivity and other drivers
  • Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field (e.g. Industrial or Systems Technology)
  • Ability to manage multiple and significantly complex assignments with elevated level of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Demonstrated initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Experience with headcount reporting and productivity metrics (Global Workbook)
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with estimating manpower requirements
  • Knowledgeable of drivers impacting headcount changes for forecast and actual performance
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work with a wide variety of functional groups
  • What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Minimum of five years of IE experience
  • Experience in multiple sites
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • This position is not eligible for ISP, ITAP, or localizations.
