This is an exciting opportunity to develop an independent research group through a five-year research Fellowship. We are looking for a driven early- career researcher with a track record in the application of -omics technologies, big data and integrating AI approaches. Your research should complement our current portfolio (see https: // www. brookes.ac.uk/bms/research) but offer opportunities to expand our expertise. In particular, we are seeking applications from researchers applying genomics to conservation or using -omics to further our understanding of fundamental processes such as gene regulation, cellular signalling and communication, or protein synthesis and transport.

Under this scheme, you will be provided with a 5-year research only post providing long-term, flexible support to develop an independent research career. We provide high-quality professional development and networking opportunities as well as competitive internal pump-priming and research funding and fully funded studentships.

Research in the department is supported by our Centres for Bioimaging and Functional Genomics which house cutting edge equipment. We are part of the Euro-bioimaging network and play an active role in University cross- departmental research networks.

Students can live in university accommodation, a great place to meet people and settle into university life. Full-time first-year international students starting in September are guaranteed a place in university accommodation if they would like it and are able to meet the application deadlines. There are a range of halls in and around the three campuses, with on-site support at all of them. All halls are on a BROOKESbus route and students living in halls can purchase a discounted bus pass entitling them to free travel on these services.
