Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Electrical Technician as a member of the Estates Team to undertake planned, preventative and responsive maintenance across residential and academic buildings within the University Estate, working on both commercial and domestic buildings. Electrical Technicians play a proactive role within a motivated and innovative team, delivering key objectives to meet directorate and university wide requirements.

Working hours for an Electrical Technician
This is a full time post which is 37 hours, typically Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm, but Oxford Brookes is supportive of flexible working, part time working and job sharing. Applicants who would like to have a working arrangement like this are encouraged to apply for this post. There is an on-call allowance paid to this role with a rota of 1 / 8 week.
Overall Purpose of the post of Electrical Technician:
To carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical services across the University's Estate, including maintenance of service records, maintenance schedules and Service Desk PPM's.
Qualifications and Experience for the post of Electrical Technician:

Qualifications : A recognised apprenticeship in electrical services. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification. 18th Edition IET Wiring regulations.
Experience : Significant post apprenticeship operational experience in electrical services maintenance and installation
